Medieval times were the real grim dark, for real. Pestilence, puss, gangrene, general lack of personal hygiene, cheesy deposits.... Retch. "Medicine" amounted to blood letting, leeching, amputation, and cauterization. Bloody hell, it makes one wonder how we got here. Anyhow, that was the inspiration for today's painting.
Pretty quick and dirty, but also fun.
